Giggs: Januzaj should bide his time

Manchester United's Ryan Giggs says young midfielder Adnan Januzaj should not rush his development at Old Trafford.

Januzaj, 18, has impressed in early season, scoring twice on his first senior start as United beat Sunderland 2-1 at the Stadium of Light in October.

Speaking to reporters, Giggs, who is playing in his 24th season at United, backed Januzaj to build on recent good showings.

However, the former Wales international said Januzaj should be patient as he attempts to break into the first team, because he undoubtedly has the quality to succeed at the club.

Giggs said: “He's a great talent, we've really been impressed with him pre-season”
“He's got to be patient and bide his time. I'm sure he'll get plenty of first-team appearances this season because he's such a good talent.”

United play host to Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday as the Red Devils look to climb the table.

David Moyes' men are currently ninth-placed in the league, with 10 points from seven matches played after a disappointing start to the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era at Old Trafford.
