Ryan Giggs holds kick-about at new fitness centre
The Reds stars was a guest at The Zone in Bury - a fitness and dance studio for teens.
Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs laced his football boots back up to have a kick-about with youngsters at a new fitness and dance studio.
The Reds’ assistant manager and former United player unveiled the The Zone in Bury, a teens-only fitness and dance studio.
Officially opening its doors on Saturday September 26, The Zone treated a select group of teenagers to be put through their paces by their footballing hero.
The secret training session was organised by The Zone to thank a group of eager teens for signing up to become members almost a month before the doors have opened.
Ryan said: “Exercise and keeping active is a great way to getting kids off the streets and doing something positive. I think the building is great and fully support what is being done here.”
The Zone gives teenagers opportunity to be trained by elite athletes, including professional boxers, footballers, body builders, MMA fighters, gymnasts and choreographers who have worked with the likes of Taylor Swift and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.
Founder Carol Godby said: “Having Ryan here to open The Zone and train with the kids has been such a thrill. He’s bought into what we’re trying to do here, and that’s about creating a fun fitness environment that gets teens energised and excited about exercise.”
