Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville & Nicky Butt meet fans in Singapore

SINGAPORE: Over a thousand die-hard Manchester United fans thronged the D'Marquee arena in Downtown East to meet three of the club's legends.

Singapore's Red Devil army marched into the venue over an hour before Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville and Nicky Butt arrived.

The reception the trio received was deafening.

All the fans had paid S$30 to see their idols.

As members of the 1999 treble winning side, the trio shared their experiences during their playing careers and for Neville and Butt, their lives after retirement.

They also distributed United merchandise - some of which were signed by the three players.

Earlier, a select few fans paid S$500 for a photo opportunity and a 1999 Champions League commemorative gold coin set signed by the three United legends.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Peter Lim Singapore Olympic Foundation.
