Robin Van Persie names his top six teammates through his career

Robin Van Persie has named his top six teammates throughout his career with two Arsenal legends and four United legends making the list. Van Persie won a Premier League with Manchester United with three of the players on the list.

Robin Van Persie is seen as a Premier League great.

From becoming an injury-prone question mark at Arsenal to a golden-boot winner and Premier League title winner at Manchester United, RVP has played and beat some of the best of the best.

As well as being a Netherlands National Team regular, in the 2000s, Van Persie is an incredibly decorated player. His top six players include three who he played with at Manchester United, two from Arsenal, and one with the National Team who was a United player prior to Van Persie's arrival.
  • Paul Scholes - Manchester United
  • Wayne Rooney - Manchester United
  • Ryan Giggs - Manchester United
  • Ruud Van Nistelrooy - Netherlands National Team
  • Denis Bergkamp - Arsenal
  • Thierry Henry - Arsenal
When asked to pick his most talented team-mate, he told BBC Sport: "So difficult to name one...I would go for Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Wayne Rooney and Ruud van Nistelrooy."

Van Persie famously went onto win the Premier League in his debut season at Manchester United, winning with Scholes, Giggs, and Rooney. The former number 20 arguably took United to the title in Sir Alex Ferguson's last season in football.

Following a three-year spell at Fenerbahce, Van Persie moved back to his homeland to end his career at boyhood club Feyenoord. And he claims he could have stayed at Old Trafford for one more season back in 2015 as he still had one year left on his contract.

But the striker decided to "move on" when then-United coach Louis van Gaal made it crystal clear he was not in his plans.
