ITV lines up Giggs documentary

UK commercial broadcaster ITV is preparing a one-hour documentary about the career of soccer player Ryan Giggs, which will be distributed internationally by Electric Sky.
 
One-off 60-minute doc Life of Ryan is being produced by London-based prodco Fulwell 73 and looks back on his 24-year playing career with reigning Premier League champions Manchester United.
 
The doc will air on ITV later this year, featuring interviews with top names from the sport such as David Beckham.
 
UK- and Hong Kong-based distributor Electric Sky has picked up the documentary for international sales.
 
Rhodri Burgess, Leo Pearlman and Gabe Turner are the executive producers and Daniel Mendelle is the director.
 
Giggs took on a coaching role at Manchester United this season under new manager David Moyes but the club is currently languishing in seventh position in the Premier League.
