Hunt for next Giggsy on at Deans FC
The Swinton club, who famously discovered and coached Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs, is holding a development centre for boys and girls aged four and five.
The football camp takes place at Salisbury Road in Eccles every Monday night from 6-7pm.
The idea is to get tots involved in the sport, teaching them building blocks of football which include ball movement, passing and team building.
Full training is provided by fully qualified FA coaches.
Steve Melia who is in charge of communication for the club said: “We teach them the basic skills they need, they receive full coaching and play games and just have fun.
“We encourage children to join through word of mouth, we do have pages on Twitter and Facebook that people can look at, people can come down and have a look at what we do and meet the other players so they can see what its like.”
Pupils at the club will be fully supervised while training to ensure they develop and progress each week, the club says. Boys and girls of all abilities are welcome to take part at the development centre.
All players are asked to take suitable footwear to all training sessions, so shinpads must also be worn at all times.
