Daniel Sturridge told to speak to Ryan Giggs
The Liverpool striker has had an injury-plagued season and has now been ruled out for another month with a thigh injury.
Hoddle fears the persistent niggles could derail a promising career for the England striker.
And he has advised Sturridge to consult Giggs - who battled hamstring problems as a young player at United - in a bid to overcome the issue.
Hoddle told talkSPORT: "It is bit scary for the lad I must say. He's such a talent.
"I've loved him from day one, even when he was at Manchester City. He's learning now and he knows what he wants.
"He's made mistakes in the past and he's learned from them. He just needs to stay fit. Michael Owen struggled with a hamstring problem and that hindered him, although he was a marvellous striker. He tried very hard to get it sorted out.
"Sturridge is young enough [to sort himself out]. He should go and have a word with Ryan Giggs and go and see what he did eventually.
"He needs to do something that's going to prevent these injuries. There will be a problem there, it doesn't just happen.
"You need to identify the problem and put your finger on it. It might be something Ryan can help with. There will be a way of managing it."
