Manchester United legend says he will have lots of avenues to pursue when he stops playing
 
Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has revealed he is ready for retirement and will have a number of options once he finally decides to hang up his boots.
 
Giggs made an impressive cameo on Sunday when he came on in the draw with Cardiff City and should have provided the assist for the winning goal in injury time, but Wayne Rooney fluffed his lines with only the goalkeeper to beat.
 
Bo-Kyung Kim was the home side's hero for his 91st minute equaliser but the story before the game was the return on Giggs to the city he was born in to face the Bluebirds for the first time.
 
Fellow Manchester United hero and television pundit Gary Neville was given the task of talking to his former teammate on Sky Sports about the match, among other things, as Giggs approaches his 40th birthday.
 
Neville and Giggs have joint business interests and the England coach asked the Welshman whether he had decided in what direction he would be going in once he stopped playing.
 
"I’ve got all those options [coaching and business], obviously I’ve got other businesses with yourself, we are doing our pro-license as well, so I’m preparing myself for coaching and for management as well," he said.
 
"It’s a great experience that I’ve got at the moment of still playing but seeing the other side of how you prepare a team and that coaching element that perhaps you wouldn’t get as a player. So, who knows, who knows."
 
Giggs even suggested he could continue playing for another year and refused to put a date on his retirement, insisting his body would tell him when the time was right.
 
He will almost certainly enter into the top three of oldest outfield players in the Premier League once this season is finished and the chance to hold yet another record could provide motivation to carry on for another year.
