Manchester United To Offer Ryan Giggs One-Year Contract Extensions
Manchester United are believed to be ready to hand one-year contract extensions to veteran midfielders Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes next month.
The News of the World claims that manager Sir Alex Ferguson is happy with the fitness of the two players despite their advancing years, and hopes that their continued presence in the squad will continue to benefit the club's younger players.
At the same time, it has also been claimed that Gary Neville's playing future is in doubt, with the defender having taken an interest in coaching.
And with former reserve team boss and United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer having left for a management opportunity in his homeland with Molde, it has been speculated that the right-back could pursue his interest in coaching with the Red Devils.
It is thought that Giggs and Scholes could be offered contracts worth about £65,000 per week, while United are also reportedly keen to offer new contracts to Darren Fletcher and Wes Brown.
