Keown: Giggs pass won him new Man Utd deal

Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown reckons Ryan Giggs won himself a new deal at Manchester United with his pass for Robin van Persie's winner at West Ham United.

Keown wrote in the Daily Mail: "Ryan Giggs has been excellent of late and his pass to set up the Manchester United equaliser for Robin van Persie was sublime.

"It probably secured him another year at the club. Giggs has been playing back out wide again recently. He doesn’t try to beat people for fun like he used to, he just hits fantastic diagonal balls. He doesn’t expect too much of himself."
