Giggs wants new United deal
Manchester United veteran Ryan Giggs has revealed he plans to open talks with the club over a new one-year contract.
The 37-year-old has made more appearances for Manchester United than any other player and has won 12 Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups and the Champions League twice during a glittering 21-year career at Old Trafford.
He has shown no signs of slowing down this season either, already making eight appearances and scoring two goals.
In recent years the Welsh winger has signed a succession of one-year contracts and with his latest deal set to expire in June, Giggs admits he is eager to keep on going for at least another year.
"After Christmas I will go to [Sir Alex] Ferguson's office and we'll talk about my renewal," Giggs told calciomercato.com
"I have a wonderful relationship with him. He's an exceptional person. He is always the first to arrive in the morning and is always willing to listen.
"I have spoken to him for a few minutes about extending my contract for another year.
"I want to play again, I care for nothing more than playing for my team."
