Giggs: 'Individual brilliance will win the derby'

Manchester United midfielder Ryan Giggs has told talkSPORT that individual brilliance will win the Manchester derby on Saturday.

United welcome their Premier League rivals, who will no doubt be desperate for revenge following the last League meeting at Old Trafford.

Back then, the winger's pass put Michael Owen through on goal in the fifth minute of stoppage time, who then fired home the winner in a thrilling 4-3 victory.

Speaking at the launch of his new strength and conditioning workout DVD, he said: "I think it could come down to a bit of individual brilliance. The last few seasons we've really had exciting games against them, and hopefully that will be the case this time."

Another talking point will inevitably be Carlos Tevez's return. The Argentine joined the blue half of the city in 2009 but Giggs insists the loss of quality players has never affected the team previously.

"When you lose quality players you will obviously miss them, but I think the thing with United is that you move on.

“We've lost a lot of quality players over the years and the club has always carried on, but Carlos is certainly a quality player.”
