Gerard Houllier lauds Giggs and Rooney's performance

Gerard Houllier has heaped praise on Wayne Rooney saying kids should follow him because "when you see him play like he did tonight, he has everything.”

Rooney scored two of the goals that helped Manchester United to a 3-1 home win over Aston Villa on Tuesday.

“Rooney and Ryan Giggs were absolutely awesome.” Houllier said. “Rooney made a real difference and he was really at the top of his game.

“United have put themselves in their position without Rooney [scoring goals] for a lot of the season, but now they have him scoring as well.

“When you can press the red button on television and follow a player, kids should follow Rooney because, when you see him play like he did tonight, he has everything.”
