Cantona and Giggs reunited

Today (Thursday) marks the 20th anniversary of Manchester United's third Premier League title triumph en-route to the Double Double back in 1996, and two of the stars of that achievement, Eric Cantona and Ryan Giggs, were reunited at Old Trafford last Sunday.

Cantona was back in Manchester to watch the Reds' match with Leicester City for a special trip which helped raise money for The Hôpital Necker-Enfants Malades in Paris. He travelled from the French capital with guests who had successfully bid in a charity auction to enjoy a matchday experience with the Reds legend.

After seeing Louis van Gaal's men draw 1-1 with the-now league champions, Eric met the players and spent time with a familiar face as he and Ryan met up again.

Cantona was, of course, instrumental in the famous 1995/96 Double Double and it was his late goal in the FA Cup final against Liverpool which completed the achievement on 11 May. Six days earlier, 20 years ago today, the Reds had sealed another title with a 3-0 win at Middlesbrough on the final day of the season, a game in which Giggs scored.
