Ryan Giggs supports hospice’s Yellow Day campaign
Ryan Giggs has lent his support to the launch of East Cheshire Hospice’s new Yellow Day campaign.
The player-turned-coach at Manchester United, who is also a patron of Macclesfield’s hospice, wore a bright yellow T-shirt to promote the idea.
Yellow Day organiser Helena Gowler said: “Yellow is an inspiring colour that makes people feel bright, cheerful and sunny.
“These are all things that East Cheshire Hospice aims to be for our patients and families. Here at the hospice we try our very best to make each and every day as bright as possible.
“And this summer we would like to spread this feeling around the whole of East Cheshire with people’s help”.
To support Yellow Day all people have to do is find a way to bring yellow into their life for one day.
Gowler said: “You might decide to start off small wearing yellow socks or maybe even hold a lemon sucking competition. All we ask is that each person taking part donates a pound to hold a yellow themed day.”
If you would like to take part in Yellow Day simply register for a pack containing Yellow Day posters at www.eastcheshirehospice.org.uk/yellowday or email events@echospice.org.uk.
