Ryan Giggs at 14

There's one lad in this footage from 1988 that looks familiar.

Oh yes, it's him. The most decorated player in the history of English football. One Ryan Giggs.

This is the Welsh star in very early action, playing for Salford against Blackburn in the final of the Granada Schools Cup.

The match, played at the home of United's great rivals Liverpool, sees Giggs, who makes his 900th appearance for the Reds this week, turn in a brilliant performance.

Even back then Giggs, who was in those days known as Ryan Wilson, shows plenty of the quality that would help him become of one of the most famous British footballers of all time.
