Ryan Giggs invites fans in to have nose at his £24m Hotel Football

Giggsy and his pals from the Class of 92 were there to welcome United fans to the basement bar in Hotel Football

Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Gary and Phil Neville and Nicky Butt were all there to greet the first football fans into their ‘Old Trafford Supporters Club’ last night.

Hundreds of fan turned up to have a nose around the basement bar in the new Hotel Football ahead of the match against Sunderland FC.

The Class of ‘92 players, which include former Wales international and Cardiff boy Ryan Giggs, arrived at the packed out bar to give a speech welcoming everybody and then hosted a Q&A with fans before mingling with the punters, much to their excitement.

Holding 800 people, the huge bar can be broken into different areas including a pool room at the far end, with big screens throughout.

On match days, entrance to the club will cost fans £1, which will be invested into local charities.

The hotel also has hospitality packages including a £40 ‘Players’ Lounge Matchday Experience’ deal and a £99 package which includes a ‘bucket of beer’ on arrival, three-course meal, complimentary wine and beer, match-day programme, entertainment and celebrity appearance.

Fans can also have their pre-match meal at the hotel’s on-site restaurant Cafe Football which is serving up twists on half-time classics including Chicken Curry Pie and Scholesy’s steak pudding.

Although not all United fans will be able to finish off their ‘Old Trafford Supporters Club’ with a 2-0 win it was certainly a good start for Hotel Football.
