Gary Neville & Ryan Giggs played football at Singapore to promote Cafe Football

Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs, the Manchester United legends who won trophies back in the day when the club was great, were in Singapore in September 2016 to promote their cafe which was scheduled to be open here in 2017.

And open it has. Cafe Football, located at 48 Woodleigh Park, is now in business.

As part of their publicity efforts, Cafe Football has put up a video showing the duo having a bit of a kick about at a street soccer court in Marine Terrace some time last September:

The cafe business venture is between property firm Rowsley and Neville and Giggs. It is part of the football-themed hospitality franchises that Rowsley acquired from the duo in 2015.

The Singapore cafe marks the chain’s first foray outside of the United Kingdom.

Besides the cafe, the other hospitality business is Hotel Football.

Both Hotel Football and Cafe Football were originally joint ventures between local tycoon Peter Lim and the trophy-lifting alumni of the “Class of 92” of Manchester United.

In 2015, Rowsley, which is controlled by Lim, acquired the businesses with Neville and Giggs remaining as minority shareholders and spokesmen.

The two were in Singapore in October 2016 to highlight their business plans in a media briefing.
