Ryan Giggs on Usain Bolt's United dream

World's fastest man Usain Bolt has made no secret of his desire to play for Manchester United one day, and United's record appearance maker Ryan Giggs reveals it could still happen.

Giggs has made over 900 appearances for the Old Trafford side, and should know better than anyone what it takes to play for Manchester United.

The Reds winger was answering questions on Manchester United's official Facebook page this week, and revealed Bolt would be almost impossible to mark.

When asked if he's watched Bolt play, Giggs said: "No I haven't, he came along to training and just watched. I wouldn't want to mark him, I know that!

"He's tall, not lacking in pace and isn't short of confidence either; he's already said he'd like to join in."

Not lacking in pace is something of a understatement - Bolt ran 100m in 9.64 seconds at the London Olympics this summer, and what first looked like a pipe dream to play for Manchester United, was lent greater credibility when Sir Alex Ferguson offered him a trial.

The United boss has said Bolt is welcome to play in a Manchester United friendly next year against Real Madrid legends, giving Bolt the perfect opportunity to impress in front of the watching Ferguson.

Bolt also watched United's first home match of the season against Fulham, and was presented with a Manchester United shirt on the pitch at half time.
