Ryan Giggs through the years

Although he's been Manchester United's assistant manager for more than a year now, Ryan Giggs will always be firstly thought of as one of the club's greatest ever players. Hence this opportunity to enjoy some of his on-pitch brilliance again as ManUtd.com marks his 42nd birthday.

The most successful servant in the Reds' history won a staggering 34 major honours, scored 168 goals and perhaps most notably of all, made 963 appearances - a record that may never be broken.

Enjoy our special video, first shown when he retired from playing in May 2014 and featuring comments from his former team-mates Phil Neville, Gary Neville and Paul Scholes, and join us in wishing the Welshman many happy returns.
